Qantas Wallabies number 8 David Pocock has been ruled out of the England Test series through injury.

Pocock was replaced in the 69th minute under the blood rule before scans later confirming a fractured eye socket.

The 28-year-old has missed just one Test through injury since 2014, following a season ending knee reconstruction.

Qantas Wallabies Head Coach Michael Cheika has not confirmed a replacement for Pocock, with Western Force number 8 Ben McCalman and Waratahs veteran Wycliff Palu both part of the touring party.

The Wallabies today travel to Melbourne, ahead of their second Test showdown against the English at AAMI Park on Saturday June 18.
