The Springbok Sevens and the other 15 international teams participating in this weekend’s Cell C Nelson Mandela Bay Sevens will arrive at the Port Elizabeth International Airport on Monday evening at approximately 20h30.

The 16 teams will arrive on two flights from Johannesburg, with the second flight expected at approximately 21h00.

All 16 captains of the participating teams will attend the International Captains Signing Session on Tuesday, 3 December between 13h00 – 14h00 at the Maurice Levin Court in the Green Acres Shopping Centre.

On Wednesday, Port Elizabeth supporters will be able to meet the entire Springbok Sevens squad during a signing session from 14h00 – 15h00 at the Woolworths Court in the Walmer Park Mall.

Bokkie the mascot:

Meanwhile, Bokkie will also be in Port Elizabeth this week in the build up to the Cell C Nelson Mandela Bay Sevens tournament over the weekend.

Bokkie, who is widely regarded as South Africa’s favourite mascot, will be in attendance at various tournament promotions this week as the excitement builds toward Round 3 of the HSBC Sevens World Series taking place on 7 – 8 December at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

Rugby supporters are welcome to photograph the popular mascot during his various promotional activities.

Bokkie the mascot will attend the following activities in PE:

Tuesday 3 December

13h00 -14h00 – International Captain’s signing Session – Green Acres Shopping Centre

Wednesday 4 December

14h00 – 15h00 – Springbok Sevens Signing Session – Walmer Park Mall

Saturday 7 & Sunday 8 December

Watch out for Bokkie at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium as he cheers on the Springbok Sevens and the rest of the international teams at the Cell C Nelson Mandela Bay Sevens.
