The Dragons host the Red Heavies at Oldmac oval on Saturday in a highly anticipated clash between the front runners and third-placed Sunnybank. The Dragons are fresh from a bye round and will be looking to redeem themselves after UQ ran away with a 59-8 win back in Round 7. With a few key positional changes and the Heavies narrow win against Brothers, Sunnybank will be determined to finally end UQ’s unbeaten streak. Souths v Norths, Chipsy Wood Oval, kick-off 3:20 pm

Souths produced one of their best performances of the year last weekend defeating the in-form Wests 37-22. Not to be outdone, North claimed their own upset with a 31-29 victory over second-placed GPS. Only one position separates the two sides with Souths in seventh spot and Norths in the eighth. Both teams play an expansive style of rugby but the Eagles will have to match the trademark physicality of the Magpies if they want to unleash their electric backline. Wests v Easts, Sci-Fleet Stadium, kic3:20 pm

The Tigers currently sit in the fifth position on the ladder with the Bulldogs just ahead in fourth place. Easts will be hungry knowing a win on Saturday should see them jump Wests to join the top four. The Tigers enter the clash with momentum on their side after registering a 38-27 victory over Bond University last weekend. Despite an upset victory over GPS in Round 10, Wests were unable to contain a clinical Souths outfit last weekend and were defeated 37-22. The key for the Tigers will be their defence. Wests backline has looked threatening all year and showed how damaging they can be when they scored four late tries to come back and snatch victory against GPS.
