The Queensland Rugby Union (QRU) has today announced Rhino Rugby as their official ball and equipment supplier through 2022.

The two-year partnership will see the Queensland Reds and other QRU programs use Rhino Rugby products such as footballs, tackle and goal-post pads, hit shields and agility poles.

Rhino Rugby is a fully owned and operated Australian company used at schoolboy level through to the world’s elite international Rugby teams.

Managing Director of Rhino Rugby Craig Brown said: “Rhino Rugby is delighted to be a partner of one of our games great unions the QRU.

“This partnership will further enhance our commitment to the game here in Australia and around the world.

“As the game’s one-stop-shop for everything rugby; from balls to scrum machines and team-wear, we look forward to serving the Queensland rugby community for years to come.

“Rhino’s rugby balls, for example, are used around Australia and the world, from professional Super Leagues and Championship levels to grassroots clubs and schools. We pride ourselves as being trusted worldwide to deliver the highest quality balls at the best value,” said Brown.

QRU CEO David Hanham said: “We are excited to partner with a globally recognised brand in Rhino Rugby that has serviced major international teams like England Rugby and the British and Irish Lions.

“Over many years of development, Rhino Rugby has clearly provided a commitment to the game of Rugby Union to improve the standard of all equipment.

“It is important to endorse organisations that invest in the research and development of high-quality sports equipment for our game. Having Rhino Rugby integrated into the Queensland Rugby family is an important step in our future,” said Hanham.

Rhino Rugby’s range of products have been designed to cover all technical aspects of the game, specifically at the scrum and breakdown, fitness, agility, kicking, tackling and ball handling.

Rhino Rugby in the UK is currently the official supplier of scrummaging machines, plus contact and training equipment to England Rugby, the Welsh Rugby Union, Bath Rugby, London Wasps and Cardiff Blues.

They were also the official ball supplier for the British and Irish Lions Tour of South Africa in 2009 and to Australia in 2013.
