RFU Disciplinary Hearing: Calum Clark

Loading...The charge against Calum Clark of Northampton Saints for striking with his elbow, contrary to Law 10.4(a) was heard in Coventry this evening.
Clark pleaded guilty and was given a three-week suspension. He is free to play again on Tuesday 13th December.
The incident occurred in the first half of the Aviva Premiership match between Northampton and Worcester Warriors at the weekend and Clark was subsequently cited by the citing commissioner for dangerous play on Worcester’s Donncha O’Callaghan.
The RFU discipline panel, said: “The panel found this was not a premeditated act but an intentional strike to the head of an opponent that merited a mid-range entry point of three weeks. The player’s remorse before the panel was genuine and heartfelt.”
