The Springbock selectors have resisted making wholesale canges to the side that defeated the Aussies at Loftus versfeld last weekend. The only change to the starting team is at lock where Danie Rossouw replaces Bulls teammate Flip van der Merwe.Van der Merwe who has been very good in his short Bok career so far has dropped down to the bench.

The only other change comes on the bench, where Gio aplon replaces the injured Butch James. The injury to James occured in the 20 minutes that he played at Loftus after replacing Morne steyn.

There was talk this week of some senior players being given a much needed rest, but the coach and selectors have decided against it.This indicates that the Boks are taking nothing for granted for this weekend’s clash in Bloemfontein. The Boks would want to win this game and win it well to make sure of second place in this year’s Tri-nations.

The springbok team for Saturday’s game in Bloem is as follows:   15 Frans Steyn; 14 JP Pieterson;13 Jacques Fourie; 12 Jean de Villiers; 11 Bryan Habana; 10 Morne Steyn; 9 Francois Hougaard; 8 Pierre Spies; 7 Juan Smith; 6 Schalk Burger; 5 Victor Matfield;4 Danie Rossouw; 3 Jannie du Plessis; 2 John Smit(Captain); 1 Gurthro Steenkamp.

Reserves: 16 Chilliboy Ralepele; 17 CJ van der Linde; 18 Flip van der Merwe; 19 Ryan Kankowski;20 Ricky Januarie; 21 Juan de Jongh; 22 Gio Aplon.
