Sevens tickets rushing out the door

Loading...Tickets for the New Zealand Sevens tournament, to be held in Hamilton for the first time on February 3-4 2018, are rushing out the door, with over half of all tickets snapped up after only two days of pre-sales.
Tickets go on public sale on Wednesday 30 August at midday, but eligible Hamilton ratepayers, Sevens, Chiefs and All Blacks supporters have been purchasing tickets fast in the presale which opened on Tuesday.
“We’re excited the Sevens has moved to Hamilton and we’re stoked to have had our best pre-sale in years, with over half the stadium already sold out in only two days,” said New Zealand Sevens General Manager Steve Dunbar.
“Our message to Hamiltonians and Sevens fans is to get in the pre-sale as soon as possible to secure your tickets to what is shaping up to be Hamilton’s hottest summer event.
“We wanted to make sure Hamilton ratepayers have first dibs at getting tickets so have included them in the presale. Ratepayers can buy their tickets now from sevens.co.nz and enter the special presale code on the flyer that was attached to the rates invoice.
“Any fan in New Zealand can go to sevens.co.nz and sign-up for the pre-sale now. We are strongly recommending that people get in the presale as at this rate there may not be many tickets left when we go on public sale on 30 August.”
The Chiefs Rugby Club are also getting behind the New Zealand Sevens by including a Whopping Weekend two-day pass to the tournament within their membership package for 2018, along with the right to purchase up to 2 additional tickets to the event.

Dallas Fisher, Managing Director of 37 South Events, who is partnering with NZR to run the New Zealand Sevens said there is real excitement building about the event being held in Hamilton.

“Hamilton is bringing back the party, and the weekend pass to the Sevens is shaping up as the hottest ticket of summer.”
