Stadium Management South Africa (SMSA) is gearing up for what promises to be yet another thrilling encounter between the Springboks and the All Blacks at Soccer City Complex on Saturday afternoon. Tickets have been selling faster this week particularly after the Boks demolished the Wallabies last weekend. With just two days to go before the big showdown, SMSA is expecting a last minute rush for tickets. Fans are urged to purchase their tickets at official outlets namely Shoprite Checkers and Computicket as no tickets will be on sale at the Stadium.

SMSA today announced that Absa Boktown tickets for Orlando Stadium have been slashed to just R10 per person. These tickets are available at Computicket outlets or by booking online at www.computicket.com. Parking tickets for Boktown can be purchased on match day and are available for R10 or R20 for Basement Parking.

Jacques Grobbelaar, SMSA Chairman and CEO explained the rationale behind reducing the ticket prices for Absa Boktown.

“We want to make this an affordable outing for the entire family, an experience they will treasure for the rest of their lives. After all, it is not often that international Test Rugby is played in Soweto and it was for that reason that we’ve decided to reduce ticket prices for Absa Boktown at Orlando Stadium on Saturday afternoon.”

Gates open at 12pm at Orlando Stadium with a jam-packed programme of live entertainment and activities for the young and old starting from 1pm which includes performances by DJ Sbu, Pro Kid, Brickz, MC Bad Boy T, a kiddies corner, tag rugby and appearances by South African rugby legends.

Match day tickets and park and ride tickets are on sale at Computicket and Shoprite Checkers outlets for the Springboks versus All Blacks test.

Parking tickets are selling for R50 and R150 for parking at Nasrec and Soccer City Complex respectively and limited parking tickets will be on sale at all stadium road closure points. There are several options to choose from including Park and Walk at the Stadium, General Public Parking, Hospitality, Disabled, VIP and Private Bus Parking, all of which open at 11am. Park and Ride tickets can be purchased at Computicket outlets and Shoprite/Checkers Money Market Counters countrywide. Tickets cost R160 from Menlyn Mall (Pretoria) and R140 for travel from Northgate Mall or the Birchwood Hotel.

SMSA is urging fans to arrive early to make provisions for strict security checks at the gates.

Kickoff is at 5pm and gates officially open at 2pm. There is a host of great entertainment lined up for the build-up to the finale, which include Jay and dancers, Sipho “Hotstix” Mabuse, Mean Mr Mustard, Tommy Lawson, Altus Theart and Bongi Mthombeni. Springbok legend Joost van Der Westhuizen will make a special appearance on the field shortly before kickoff.
