ASICS GIVES SPRINGBOKS A COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE FOR RUGBY WORLD CUP 2015

Episode 3 in a series of five videos focusing on the performance advantages that can be gained through rugby apparel and footwear innovations looks at the jersey and the scientific research utilised in the design.

ASICS has designed a product that will allow the Springboks the freedom to move and will give them an edge at the rugby world cup. Every aspect of the Asics jersey has been designed to reduce weight without compromising strength with the aim of improving performance, with full details to be released on 4thJune.

 

ASICS invited the Springboks rugby team to its renowned ASICS Institute of Sport Science (ISS), Kobe, Japan, to take part in rugby-specific performance testing. The ISS is at the forefront of research into sports product, helping athletes achieve their goals.

 

Starring Tendai ‘Beast’ Mtawarira alongside other high profile Springbok players, episode 3 offers a powerful display of the insights, innovation and rugby philosophy of ASICS, which has created the lightest shirt at the rugby world cup.

 

The remaining videos will be released each week in the build up to the official launch on June 4th 2015.
