Steinhoff Vishuis is confident of meeting the high expectations of excellence in the Steinhoff Hostel League.

Loading...Vishuis qualified for the 2010 competition by winning the hostel league of the University of the Free State at the end of 2009. Their first match in the 2010 competition will be when they play Steinhoff Dagbreek in an away game at the Danie Craven Stadium in Stellenbosch on the 22nd of February.
Vishuis will play at home against Steinhoff Tornadoes (Ikeys) on the 1st of March and Steinhoff Madibaz from NMMU two weeks later. Preparations have been going well with the Vishuis having played with 2 teams against club sides from Welkom. This gave a better indication to Coach Jan Earle of the talent available and the best combinations to start the competition with.
The coach is confident of doing well and believes that there is a lot of depth. Several players played for the Vodacom Cheetahs u/19 side in 2009. The players are talented and willing to put in the effort required at training. Dr Derek Coetzee, previously conditioning coach with the Springboks and now lecturing at the University, has been approached to provide guidance with gym work.
Vishuis believes that the hard work in the gym and on the training pitch will deliver strong performances in the Steinhoff hostel league!!
