Coaches MJ Mentz and Corné Steenkamp made some surprising changes to their 22-man line-up, for their fifth round Vodacom Cup match in Nelspruit on Saturday afternoon, 11 April, against the Xerox Golden Lions. Kick-off is at15:00 at the Mbombela Stadium. They decided to announce a 23-player squad for the possibility of changing their existing four forward, three back line choice to a 5-2 line-up. A total of 12 changes (five to the starting 15) was made to the team that played the Vodacom Blue Bulls two weeks ago.
One of the biggest changes for the week is the star loose forward, Marnus Schoeman who will receive his first opportunity at hooker, together with his former GWK Griqua teammate, Simon Westraadt. Westraadt only had a couple of minutes play time on his debut game for the Steval Pumas against the Assupol Limpopo Blue Bulls in Secunda.
