Steven Kitshoff of the Stormers has been cited for alleged foul play during a Super Rugby match at the weekend.

Kitshoff is alleged to have contravened Law 10.4 (e) Dangerous Tackling when he made contact with Brumbies #10 Matt Toomua in a tackle. The incident occurred in the 61st minute of the match between the Stormers and Brumbies at DHL Newlands Stadium in Cape Town on Saturday 23rd March 2013.

The referee for the match: Glen Jackson, acted upon the incident during the match by awarding a Penalty.

Upon further review of the match footage the Citing Commissioner deemed in his opinion the incident had met the Red Card threshold for foul play

The Citing is to be considered in the first instance by SANZAR Duty Judicial Officer Jannie Lubbe SC.
