Durban, 1st June 2017:  Following the success of last year’s township tour and the Cell C Sharks official warm-up match in Umlazi, top class rugby action will be heading to the community of Clermont.  This Saturday, 3rd June, the Cell C Sharks XV will play the Griffons in a Supersport Rugby Challenge fixture at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in Clermont at 15h00.  Entry to the match is free of charge.

The Cell C Sharks XV team boasts a number of experienced Super Rugby players namely captain Odwa Ndungane, Keegan Daniel and S’bura Sithole.  Fans will get an opportunity to interact with their heroes and watch them live in action.

The Sharks CEO, Gary Teichmann stated:  “Our valued partnership with Durban Tourism has made this game possible and together we are committed to taking rugby to our communities and extending the profile of the game.  We trust that people of Clermont as well as our fans travelling from outside this community embrace this match and the special atmosphere at the stadium.”

Durban Tourism has arranged return transportation from Growthpoint KINGS PARK to Clermont.  Fans will be able to park their vehicles at the stadium and hop on to buses that have been provided.  The bus transportation schedule is listed below.
