Australian Rugby Union (ARU) today announced that Swisse, official Vitamin and Supplement Partners of the Qantas Wallabies since 2012, are extending their support of Australian Rugby to become the official Vitamin and Supplement Partners of the Asteron Life Super Rugby competition.

The 4-year deal, which runs until 2019, will see the Swisse logo featured at all domestic Australian Super Rugby matches through prominent grass signage, logos on the match balls, and logos on the uniforms of the ball boys and ball girls.

ARU Chief Operating Officer Rob Clarke, said: “We have enjoyed a wonderful relationship with Swisse for almost four years, and are delighted they have strengthened their support of our global game by partnering with the Asteron Life Super Rugby competition, which is recognised as the world’s premier provincial rugby tournament.”

“As one of the world’s leading wellness brands, Swisse is committed to supporting Australia’s elite rugby teams as they exemplify the positive benefits of an active, healthy lifestyle. The synergy between our two organisations is excellent.”

CEO of Swisse, Radek Sali, said Swisse were similarly excited to extend the partnership.

“Since 2012, Swisse has proudly played a vital role in ensuring the Qantas Wallabies have been supported in their health and wellness needs, which has enabled them to excel on the world stage,” said Mr Sali.

“With the Super Rugby competition being the foremost pathway for talented players to reach their goal of representing their country, it is fitting we are extending our partnership to support the next generation of Wallabies.

“Super Rugby represents the pinnacle of world provincial rugby and we are thrilled to be bringing our premium products to some of Australia’s most impressive athletes.”

The 21st season of the 2016 Asteron Life Super Rugby competition kicks off in Australia tonight when the Aquis Brumbies take on the Hurricanes at 7.45pm (AEDT) at GIO Stadium in Canberra. A blockbuster schedule of matches follows over the weekend, featuring the two new international teams, the Japanese Sunwolves and the Jaguares from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
