Durban, 1 September 2014: After a disappointing loss against the Pumas this past weekend, the Cell C Sharks are hard at work and are determined to display a more positive performance against the Griquas at Growthpoint KINGS PARK this Saturday, 6th September 2014.

Ahead of this weekend’s match, Dr Alan Kourie, The Cell C Sharks Team Doctor, has released a medical update on the following players:

Name of Player Injury
Francois Kleinhans – Broken hand;
– Out for approximately 8 weeks.
JC Astle – Diagnosed with a hamstring strain;
– Out for approximately 3 weeks.
Etienne Oosthuizen – Ankle niggle;
– Fitness call to be made later in the week.
Tera made his debut for the Cell C Sharks in 2012 in both the Vodacom Super Rugby and the Absa Currie Cup tournaments and whenever opportunities presented themselves to play for the senior team he has shown that he has the passion and x-factor to succeed at the highest level.

With a relatively new squad and with enforced changes due to injuries, opportunities will certainly be presented to the youngsters in our system.

There is great team spirit and energy amongst the players and they are looking forward to the clash on Saturday.
