JOHANNESBURG, 13 February 2015: The start of the 2015 Vodacom SupeRugby seson will signal the launch of the enhanced Vodacom Rugby App that will be bringing some serious game this season.
Last year the award-winning App took rugby supporters by storm and has been through various face-lifts and improvements to make it the most powerful tool in their hands.
The Vodacom Rugby App – available for free on iOS, Android and BB10 and in the Windows Store – gives the rugby-loving public unprecedented insight into the game.
The 2015 Vodacom SupeRugby season will be all about the fans walking the talk and FanUp with South Africa’s best network.
They will be able to do just that with the Vodacom Rugby App, stacked with enhanced features making it a mere touch away from everything rugby related.
We know it’s not only the players that have a competitive spirit, so Vodacom has introduced more games that are related to the stats on the App.
The Vodacom Rugby App will give fans direct access to SuperBru with in-depth stats and blow-by-blow analysis to make informed weekly picks.
All registered SuperBru users in South Africa playing the Vodacom SupeRugby game stand a chance to win a Samsung smartphone each week throughout the competition.
The SuperBru player to top the leader board each week will be crowned the Red Cap winner and will win a Vodacom red cap and a Samsung smartphone as prize.
To add to the fun, the Vodacom Rugby App introduces Stats XV, a fantasy rugby game, where users can see how their team selections compare with that of their friends. You can join the fun in Round 2 of Vodacom SupeRugby.
Fans get to choose the starting line-up versus the benchwarmers and we show how their teams stacked up against the stats machine to win amazing weekly prizes.
The App will further give users access to 28 categories of statistics for individual rugby players – from passes and points to metres run and tackles made.
Vodacom will also help fans get over the advantage line with weekly prizes in the Predict-a-Stat feature.
Fans stand a chance to win one of two Samsung phones each week throughout the 2015 Vodacom SupeRugby season.
With the Predict-a-Stat feature users get to choose which teams will lead the pack in five different stats categories.
All the entries with the highest number of correct guesses will automatically be allocated into a pool of possible winners. Winners will be randomly chosen each week.
