The Blue Bulls Company hereby confirms that Joseph Ntshongwana played for the Blue Bulls provincial side at Vodacom Cup and Currie Cup level during 1998-2001. In that time he earned nine caps in the Vodacom Cup competition, two in the Currie Cup competition and played in the A-side competition three times. He was not involved with any team of the Blue Bulls in any capacity thereafter.
We have noted in recent media reports that Mr. Ntshongwana is allegedly involved in a criminal case but cannot make any statement with regards to this matter as we do not have any facts or information pertaining to the case.
Ntshongwana was recently arrested in connection with the axe murders in Kwazulu Natal.
