Big guns back for Ireland clash

Qantas Wallabies coach Michael Cheika has welcomed back more than 300 Test caps of experience for the clash against Ireland at Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Sunday morning (4.30am AEDT kick-off).

Israel Folau and Michael Hooper headline six players who are back in the starting fifteen after sitting out last weekend’s 25-23 win over France in Paris.

Stephen Moore returns to the number two jersey and in doing so will join Adam Ashley-Cooper and Nathan Sharpe as the equal second most-capped Wallabies players in history with his 116th Test appearance in the gold jersey.

It will be a special occasion for Moore at Aviva Stadium, after growing up in Ireland before moving to Australia as a young child.

Dean Mumm will start at blindside flanker in a reshuffle of the back row with Lopeti Timani named on an extended bench alongside fellow Melbourne Rebels star Sean McMahon.

Quade Cooper has also been named amongst the reserves after being ruled out prior to kickoff against France last Saturday because of an ankle injury.

The Wallabies are chasing their fourth straight Test victory, in what would be their best winning sequence since notching seven consecutive wins on their run to the 2015 Rugby World Cup Final.

In their past seven encounters dating back to 2006, the ledger is square between the two nations, with three wins-a-piece and a drawn Test in Dublin in 2009.

The Test between the Qantas Wallabies and Ireland will be screened LIVE on beIN Sports 3 (Foxtel channel 515) with coverage from 3.30am AEDT and also LIVE on free-to-air television across Australia on SBS 1 from 4.15am AEDT on Sunday 27 November. Fans can also LIVE to stream the match on Foxtel GO (for Foxtel subscribers) and through beIN Sports Connect at https://connect.beinsports.com/au/.
