RFU Disciplinary Hearing: Ryan Mills

Loading...The charge against Ryan Mills of Worcester Warriors for dangerous tackling, contrary to Law 10.4(e) was heard in Coventry yesterday.
Mills pleaded guilty and was given a two-week suspension. He is free to play again on Tuesday 6th December.
The incident occurred in the first half of the Aviva Premiership match between Northampton Saints and Worcester Warriors at the weekend and Mills was subsequently cited by the citing commissioner for dangerous play on Rory Hutchinson of Northampton.
The RFU disciplinary panel, said: “The panel were satisfied that the player did not intend to tackle his opponent dangerously but was reckless in the execution of the tackle. The panel found that the challenge was mistimed owing to a long lay-off through injury and lack of match fitness and was, therefore, a low-end offence.”
The RFU disciplinary panel comprised of HHJ Sean Enright (Chairman), Tony Wheat and Chris Skaife.
