U16 Golden Lion’s President XV wins

Loading...Austin Bruggen(#2), Christian Humphries (#10) and Kyle van Eysen (#8) from Trinityhouse High Randpark Ridge, were recently selected to be part of the U16 Golden Lion’s President XV.
The team was made up of players from the “small school” category and included players from Trinityhouse, Fochville, Riebeekrand, Queens, Die Adelaar, Alberton, Carltonville, HeronBridge, Lavela High, Thulani High and President.
The team was invited to play in the Jeppe U16 Easter Festival. Schools like KES, Kearsney, Maritzburg College and Helpmekaar were participants at the festival.
The Lion’s team, proudly captained by Christian Humhries, were very successful winning all three of their scheduled matches as follows- 50 : nil versus St Benedicts, 19 : 11 versus Pretoria Boys High (played in the rain) and finally 25 : 17 versus Maritzburg College.
