The series of five videos focuses on the performance advantages that can be gained through rugby apparel and footwear innovations using the latest technology.
Episode two from true sport performance brand ASICS is an energetic and scientific look at the technology behind the socks which will be worn by the Springboks.
ASICS has designed a product that that will enable the Springboks to be powerful from the first to the last minute. The socks featured are designed to improve blood flow, aid recovery and alleviate fatigue. ASICS utilises insights from the ASICS Institute of Sport Science to create rugby specific technology with the aim of improving performance.
ASICS invited the Springboks rugby team to its renowned ASICS Institute of Sport Science (ISS), Kobe, Japan, to take part in rugby-specific performance testing of their bodies, apparel and footwear to ensure they have the edge at the upcoming Rugby World Cup 2015. The ISS is at the forefront of research into sports product, helping athletes achieve their goals.
Starring Tendai ‘Beast’ Mtawarira and Eben Etzebeth episode 2 is a powerful display of the insights, innovation and rugby philosophy of ASICS.
